World's Largest Basket--Newark, OH

During this pilot phase of the Museum Anthropology blog, it seemed like a good time to try posting an image. For this test, I am offering my photograph of the corporate headquarters of the Longaberger Basket Company in Newark, Ohio. Seeing this spectacle of contemporary material culture was an added benefit of a wonderful visit that I made in May to Ohio State University's Columbus and Newark campuses through the kindness of colleagues in the American Indian Studies Program and the Center for Folklore Studies.
