The Vancouver Sun is reporting today (Sunday May 25, 2008) that "thieves struck at the University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology Friday night, apparently stealing pieces from the Bill Reid collection. Early reports have suggested that at least 10 pieces from the Reid collection have been taken, with some Inca gold necklaces also missing." Find the story online here.
Hopefully good news of a recovering of the stolen works will come quickly.
