I just learned that the Anthropological Papers of the American Museum of Natural History are now online in OA PDFs courtesy of the AMNH DSpace repository. Three cheers for OA, DSpace and museum anthropology!

Actually, the Smithsonian Contributions to Anthropology are also available OA via their DSpace site
Additionally, a handful of papers from the National Museum of Natural History Dept. of Anthropology staff are also included and this collection will be growing soon.
I should have remembered to note the availability of the Smithsonian Contributions to Anthropology Series. Thanks for passing on this important news.
