2013 American Indian Museum Fellowship

The 3-week residential summer fellowship is designed to inspire American Indian undergraduates to consider opportunities for worthwhile careers in historical and cultural preservation with tribal governments and historical organizations. The fellowship is designed for students interested in pursuing the museum field with an emphasis on American Indian cultural and historical preservation among tribal governments and historical organizations. Students will have the opportunity to visit various sites and get behind the scenes of tribal museums, archaeological sites, county historical societies, and preservation labs.

The American Indian Museum Fellowship is a collaboration of the Minnesota Historical Society with the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, and the Minnesota Humanities Center.  In its third year, the collaborative program offers an engaging and meaningful experience for aspiring individuals looking to explore careers in cultural organizations.
