Objects of Trade: 2007 MEG Conference in London

Claire Warrior has just announced the preliminary program for the upcoming Museum Ethnographers Group meeting in Greenwich, London, which will be held at the National Maritime Museum (where Claire is the Curator of Exhibitions) on Monday, May 21st and Tuesday May 22nd, 2007. The Theme of the meeting is Objects of Trade and the preliminary program looks rich, with many papers of certain interest to Museum Anthropology readers. Registration details can be found on the MEG website, as can a provisional schedule. The program features a collection of top scholars exploring the trade and circulation of cultural objects. Many presenters are regular contributors to the MEG's distinguished Journal of Museum Ethnography and to Museum Anthropology. The registration fee is modest and the MEG welcomes attendees from near and far.
